Fluorspar Mining in Asturias, Spain

With a production capacity of about 140,000 tpy, our mines in Asturias turn Minersa into the largest fluorspar producer in Europe.

Our Ribadesella (Mina Ana) team accumulates much of Minersa’s knowledge in fluorspar. Its processing plant with in-house developed process control technology, extensive use of computerized means, on-site lab, cogeneration power plant etc., provides a constant production of the highest quality acid grade fluorspar.

It is not surprising that this site was one of the first fluorspar production facilities awarded with ISO certification.

Our own underground mines in the Asturias region feed the Ribadesella plant. Our mines use modern machinery for the extraction and hauling of the ore.
